AI movie Sites

Warner brothers has suspiciously registered websites relating to people, companies, and groups in the AI movie. The sites have no mention of the WB name, nor of the AI movie. Most of the sites are registered by the same people (no mention of WB in NetworkSolutions' Whois database for the sites).

Some of the sites (post more if you find them):
www.bwunn.com
www.bangaloreworldu-in.co.nz
www.metropolitanlivinghomes.com
www.inourimage.org
www.unite-and-resist.org
www.familychan.org
www.donu-tech.com
www.jeaninesalla.com (mentions the AI movie)
www.familiasalla-es.ro (mentions AI)
www.belladerma-srl-it.ro
www.katenei.com
www.rogueretrieval.com
www.spcb.org
www.martinswinton.com
www.elizas-tearoom.net
www.bangaloreworldu-in.co.nz/salla/default.html
www.cloudmakers.org (Says: "OK, fessing up: We're playing a game designed by Microsoft, and the game is a promotion for the film A.I. The film was Stanley Kubrick's unfinished project, and was directed by Steven Spielberg for DreamWorks. Warner Bros. is releasing A.I. in the US on June 29, 2001. For information on overseas release dates, visit the IMDB.")

MANY MORE, I BET!

This has been reported on in Entertainment Weekly (and maybe other places). It's a stealth advertising campaign using the internet as a marketing tool (which, IMHO, is a good idea for moviemakers). Swordfish did something as well.

Like "Blair Witch" they're creating a virtual reality, as it were, as if the film's events were real. I think it's kinda cool (tho, I didn't get involved with either, as I'm too busy).

Here are two EW articles about the A.I. marketing avenues:

the second one includes a few links to follow to get more involved.
