Hotsync from T1 to Cable Modem?
Technical Hotsync question for you smart people out there. I've got a T1 connection at work and a cable modem connection at home. I know my IP at home. What I want to do is a kind of modem hotsync to my computer, except without a dialup modem. I want to do it from my computer at work to my computer at home over a network style connection. How can this be done? What ports do I need open on my corporate and home firewalls? Is this even possible? Can this be done without having the Hotsync program on my computer at work?
Thanks, in advance, for your input.

Uhh, I'm pretty sure that they have software to remotely hotsync to your computer by dialing straight into it, but I don't know about through the internet. If you have a firewall or router at home, that could complicate things further, because you would have to open a port to outside connections, have some kind of server running on that port, and then worry about securing that server (which can be a full time job in itself). Maybe I'm wrong, but it might be easier just to sync with each of the two computers
or how about this: http://www.palmgear.com/software/sh...amp;prodID=1702
maybe...
