-- Supplied stylus not bad at all. (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3378)
I now have two plastic graphite styli and 4 colour ones.
My observations:
The plastic ones have a nice enough tip with minimal ridges. It's annoying having no reset pin though, and the weight is a bit too light. Otherwise, it's good enough.
The metal/plastic colour ones had much larger sharp ridges near the tip - I didn't feel comfortable using them until the I filed down the ridges. It's much better weighted though and the reset pin is a definite plus. Too bad it's just plastic and liable to break off. An added bonus is a built-in screwdriver, if you ever decide to mess with the Visor's innards.
Also, I have two lids, a graphite and an ice one. They seem like exactly the same strength, but the ice is cool in a tupperware sort of way...
Both leather slip cases I have feel like pretty poor quality however.
The serial cradle is also quite nice in that it comes with a converter from that 9-pin rhomboid end to a round 9-pin (?PS-2) end.
I'm glad you like the stock stylus, it must have been improved since the time I got the POS that came with my Visor. Personally, I think HS dropped the ball with the stylus. Rather than wait for them to correct them as well as their shipping problems, I ordered a 3 pack of 3COM styli made for the Palm Pilot (the model before the PalmIII). They fit perfectly with a very smooth tip. In addition, they were cheap and took only three days to arrive from BUY.com . These sticks should last me long enough too allow more companies time to get their Visor replacement styli to market. :-)

Hey Joe,
I'm interested in ordering the Palm Pilot styli as well. Are they plastic or metal? How's the weight on these compared to the stock stylus of the Visor? My tip was fine but it feels to me like you are holding a tooth pick instead of a writing instrument.
