My Visor Delux is busted too
I got it way back in Decemeber 99 and I am kicking myself for messing it up. I put the batteries in backwards and somehow that did it. I have done it before but it never broke it before. Now when I put new batteries in, they get hot. I was getting 2 vertical lines down the display, but now it is totally blank.
Should I send it back to HandSpring for servicing? Are they gonna charge me an arm & a leg to fix it?
How hard will it be to get all my contacts and memos over to a new machine? I am really missin it already and never used any periferals in the springboard thingie. Man am I bumming, this was sooo stoopid of me !!!!!!!!!!
thanks in advance for the help & all help is appreciated.
Kirby,
You can call handspring and see what they say, but I'm thinking they probably wont replace it for free.
If you want to stay with a deluxe, you should probably get a refurb than have Handspring try to fix it.

To fix it:

You can replace it with and Palm device and carry over the meo and addresses if you Hotsync to your PC it regularly.
All you would have to do is hotsync the new device with your PC and select the corect name when prompted.

Happy Treo 600 user, so far. Thanx Cingular for having an unlocked phone.
My Treo 600 is my phone, my PDA, my watch, and my MP3 player. Oh yeah, I take a picture once in a while with it. Convergence is such a great thing.
