-- Visor and Sprint/Sanyo SCP-4000 (???) (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2940)
I just got a new cell, a Sprint/Sanyo SCP-4000. From talking to the sales person, there is a data cable available for the phone that will allow it to act as a serial modem for a PC. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could connect my Visor to this phone and use it's built in modem (assuming that is what it really is). I figured the data cable is useless, since it requires a serial port.......
I am not sure if the future SixPak will do this....but if anyone else can start pointing me in the right directions....
Thanks
Ryan

There is a thread about connecting Sprint PCS phones to the Visor at:

Basically, we have a Qualcomm working via efig module, as well as a Qualcomm and Motorola Timeport working via the serial cradle available from Handspring. No luck with the Timepoft/efig combo, or Samsung with the serial cradle. If you try stuff, please post your experiences!
