-- Windows 2000 USB? Try hacking the VisorUsb.inf file... (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2021)
After doing a little digging on the error that occurs, I may have found a solution, but since I know hardly anything about Windows programming (Unix guy), I'm not quite sure how to implement it.
If you know what you're doing with .inf files, take a look at: http://www.microsoft.com/ddk/ddkdocs/win2K/default.htm
Open:
Windows 2000 DDK
- Setup, Plug & Play, Power Management
- Design Guide
- Setup
- Creating an INF File
I noticed that 2 lines in the .inf file have "#" in front of them. Are these lines commented out? I removed the #'s and it didn't help, I got the same error when trying to install the device. I tried a few other various things, and that didn't help either. What is VisorUsb.dev? I don't have the file anywhere on my system.
Is hacking this file up to make it work possible? Or is it a waste of time? There has to be some workaround. I've called tech support twice about it, and both times they told me that they can write a driver until Windows 2000 is released. So even though Win2k comes out soon, it will probably take them a couple months to release a driver.
There has to be some Windows programming guru somewhere that can figure it out.
