In James' great review of the Minijam he says that the download speed is 2 megabytes per minute. In another short news item he says that the soundsgood player downloads at 13.9 megabytes per minute.

This can't be true, is he saying that the soundsgood is 7 times faster downloading songs? If they both use USB shouldn't they be the same speed?

If so, it takes the soundsgood 4.6 minutes to download 64megs and 32 minutes for the minijam to download 64megs.

It is true. Good Technology did a lot of optimization for their conduit.

Note that neither the SoundsGood nor the MiniJam uses HotSync for transfer, so they can have very different speeds.
