-- HotSync Fatal Error (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=10264)
Lately, I've been getting the following error at the conclusion of a HotSync. It doesn't happen all the time... maybe every 4th or 5th sync. Anyone got a clue?
SystemMgr.c, Line:4169, No More Owner IDs

Mark,
I assume that you are looking at the hotsync log for any error messages there. Otherwise, I'd suggest that a recently loaded software program might have an error in the registration code versus your user name. Perhaps the code was accepted or not with a slight variant of your user name. Double check recently installed software for registrations. The reason I say this - if you don't use this program that is causing the problem except every 4 or 5th hot sync then I think this might be causing the failure when the system is backed up during the last stages of the hot sync.
Running any beta versions of something? Send this error message to the developer if you are. The better developers are pretty helpful even if it's not their "cause". Also, assuming that the visor does a soft reset with no problems?
Not an expert on this error message but during my beta days with Palm - this was generally the area of a problem with this type of message.

Problem resolved? Are you using a Mac? My guess is a corrupted database, possibly the addressbk.

It may be that you had/have some foreign (non pdb or prc) files in your backup folder. That's a possiblity. Remove them if that's the case. Perhaps wordsmith is the culprit instead. I haven't tried it out yet.
