I've noted recently a rash of people who have had the misfortune of having their Visor screen break. I'm curious as to the relative fragility of the Visor vs the Palm, effects of cases, and so forth.

If the memories are not too painful, could all you unfortunates please give us a bit of info?

<LI>What kind of case was the Visor in when it was broken?
<LI>Where were you carrying the Visor when it broke? (pocket, briefcase, clipped to belt, etc.)
<LI>Is the place you were carrying it the "normal" location, or was this an uncommon location? (i.e., if it broke in your pocket, do you normally carry it in your pocket?)
<LI>Did you ever figure out what specifically broke the screen or is it still a mystery?
<LI>If you did, what actually broke the screen?
<LI>What will you do differently with your replacement Visor in light of how the first one broke?

I let a really cute girl use it, she dropped it out of her locker, no case, the screen cracked. She saw i was getting ready to murder her so she let on the water works. From now on i wont let people borrow my visor (unless i can get some )

I changed to a VDx when my Palm III screen shattered. One of the reasons was that the VDx comes with a leather case which looks as is it offers some protection. The Palm III "hopped" out of my shirt pocket and landed screen down on concrete. Now all I have to do is remember to keep it in the case....
