Cool

Ok, I had to ask, but if anyone goes on Survivor II (in the Australian Outback), they let you bring one item with you. How many of you would bring your Visor? ;-)

If you're out there for 35 days, your batteries should last the full time you're there, assuming, of course, that you don't have any power-hungry springboards installed, you use it moderately, and you don't use the backlighting,...

The only springboard I'd even THINK about bringing would be the GPS, but even that would have limited usefulness,...

It would be a fairly useful tool to have around, especially if you need to make some quick calculations while making your shelter, or tools, and you could download some survival-type documents from the web in AportisDoc for looking up edible plant types or wild animals,...

Of course, if it crashes, you'd be screwed,...

;-)

Wink

Hey I'm moving to Australia and I'm taking my Visor with me. Does that count?

OK it won't be to the outback but to Sydney and I'll bring some other stuff too...

I sure hope the Geode will have maps for Australia soon...

Not if you had a Backup springboard!

I'd have to be realistic and say 'no' i wouldn't bring my visor. it wouldn't be very useful for what you are required to do and frankly, too fragile.

I'd bring my SAS pocket survival guide and a solar calculator (they won't let you bring knives and Leatherman tools from what i understand).

we've had the 'would you bring your visor' discussion at home already.
