-- Got my ThumBoard today (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=18644)
ThumBoard is also significantly cheaper than the Stowaway (less than half the cost). They both have their uses... if you have a flat surface to type on, Stowaway is king. If you are cramped for space, thumboard is the one. I am cheap and continually cramped for space, so the choice was logical.

It appears from the pictures I have seen that the Thumboard has number buttons and the SnapNType does not. Is this the case and if so how do you enter numerals with the SnapNType?
You have to use the "symbol" key on the SNT to enter numbers.

SnapNType Review out!!!

images from The Gadgeteer!!
There's a review of the SnapNType keyboard for Visor up @ The Gadgeteer
-> http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/snapnt...sor-review.html
You guys might wanna check it out.
Why isn't there any UP and DOWN buttons anyway?????
One con about using such stuff is that NO CASES EVER WILL WORK WITH THE VISOR and THESE ACCESSORIES. This sucks. Beats the point about getting a case and NOT being able to use it... What was Handspring thinking about when they designed the Visor??? Sigh

Uhh, maybe I'm missing something, but there are up/down buttons on the right side of the keyboard..
Looks like SnapOn has no chance against Thumboard. Less then 40 keys is a joke for me. Usually I use PDA for entering phones, addresses, etc and with SnapOn I have to use special key to enter numbers. But the way, with latest 1.1 driver ThumBoard works fine with VisorPhone and shout work with all kind of modems. So the last 'minus' is it doesn't work with Prism. I think they will release special version very soon.

Snap On does work with Prism.
He was referring to the thumboard.
I too am waiting for a full review on these products by VisorCentral. Any word on when we can expect one?
Also, with the SnapNType do you have to push the symbol key each time you want to enter a numeral? That seems like it could be a pain. But, does having fewer (larger) buttons make it easier to use over the Thumboard?

Caps Lock
My ThumBoard has a caps lock button which is useful for some QuickSheet entries. I wonder if SNT has the same for numbers and capital letters.

I tried to attach it to this reply, but VC doesn't allow attachments other than .txt and .jpg.

Don't know if it does anything new or not, but I downloaded 1.1 last week when I messed up the diskette opening the package.
Like my ThumBoard so far. Taking alot of time to get used to where the various keys are. I keep wanting a shift button on both sides like a PC keyboard. And I wish the Command key were down with the letters instead of the extreme top right with the Buttons.
So far, I've maxed out at about 25 wpm.
Does anyone else own the Fellowes Pocket Keyboard? I picked that up last week, and it's very similar to the other two, except that it hangs down below the Visor, and the "keys" are actually just a touch-sensitive surface. I've been thrilled with it, and they have them for all Visors but the Edge, and most Palm Pilots.
