Why and how is it possible that there are 574 members and only 2 people have actually received their Visors? I seem to remember alot of people who ordered on the first day, and none have them have spoken. Seems kinda strange to me. Did anyone REALLY get their Visor today????

Easy. Notice that the folks who DID get their Visors today all live within about 40 miles of Handspring's HQ. UPS ground is ssllloooowwwww. Six working days to Vermont, so I won't see mine until Friday or Monday.

Where did you get this shipping map?! Can you tell me when Hawaii orders ship?

There is no UPS Ground shipping to Hawaii (obviously), only Next Day and Second Day Air.

What? No ground shipping to Hawaii? How come?



...Of course I knew that. sorry. I have no good reason for this, but I thought the map indicated that HANDSPRING was shipping orders based on geography...I misunderstood the meaning of the map.

Update: Called a CSR (the same one I talked to when I ordered) for the first time since 9/14 5PM PDT and was told that mine should have shipped on Friday or Monday but there was no way to find out if or when for sure. So... I'm crossing my fingers for tomorrow...

I'm solidly in the "Monday" color, but it still is not here as of Tuesday...

Waiting patiently one more day in the Light Blue. If it's not here on Wednesday, send me your physical address so that I might come to New York and .....naugh never mind...I'll drive to Mountain View and corner Dubinsky and say you've had my money for 4 days where's my Visor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'm bummin' -- that map indicates that since my Ice-Visor is going to be shipped to NYC, I should expect it more than a week after it was shipped (10/15). They told me I should have it by Thursday or Friday, and I was hoping I would have it by Friday so I could spend the week-end as an anti-social Visorite.

Oh well...I guess that getting it on Monday isn't all bad. It will definitely improve on a day that I normally don't look forward to...

Ordered late evening, 9/14.

Confirmed order about a week ago, changed shipping address (I quit job) and credit card. Also added overnight shipping.

Confirmed last night that the credit card was charged for the amount that would equal a visor.

Still waiting, and crossing fingers for today (Wednesday).

I didn't see Canada on that shipping map. Are we first of last?

Well, I finally received my I.D. (ice deluxe sounds so much better than V.D.). Ordered it on 9/16 around 12:30 pm pacific time. Shipped regular UPS (no 1-day) from Fremont, CA to my home in Elk Grove, CA. Total distance of 100 miles. Loaded tons o' stuff already & only half full!

Interesting little note, shipped from warehouse about 100 yards from my mom's house. I could have asked her to pick it up & hand deliver it, that is if I were a fanatic or something. Nah, NOT ME!

There is a topic for listing incoming visors. Please list there instead of under this bogus topic name. It would make us all feel better.

I just had a look at the demographics of the people posting in this discussion group. I noticed that a majority of them are from the east coast, or over that way. There were a fair amount of people from CA, and Washington State. A few from New Mexico, some from Texas (like myself), and then a big gap - some in the Chicago area, and then a lot from Tenn (?) and a bunch up in the northeast, including Toronto.

What I'm getting at is this: It looks like a lot of Visors will (have been) be received early on by the people in CA, then the guys in Washington, and possibly in New Mexico. Then there will be a decent gap of time in which not that many people receive anything, until the shipments start making it out east. Filter all of that through the fact that probably only a few of us are actually going to post anything about it when we finally receive ours. A lot of people are just going to be playing with their new toy, and a lot of others aren't that involved in these discussion groups that they'll even think about saying anything about it. So, I don't think that we should get alarmed (I'm trying hard not to) by the fact that not many people have reported receiving thier Visor. Now, if I haven't received mine by next Monday (the 25th), THEN I'll get alarmed.

Looks like their on schedule: New Mexico on the 20th, that was yesterday, yesterday was wednesday... NY by Friday?? Soon soon soon!!! ... yeah, I need a life.
