- Springboard Modules (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/forumdisplay.php?forumid=10)
-- What springboards would you like made? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=19544)
I would like to see a "dictaphone" module that will automatically transcibe my dictation to a doc file or word file, and compatible with printboy or tealprint etc.. for printing.
My choice?
I've posted this one before. What I would really like is an inexpensive, basic RS232 module, just a connection with a DB9 or RJ45 connector. I don't know, but it might be nothing more than wires connecting the proper pins. It would have to be capable of being recognized by software (a terminal emulator) as a COM port.
I'm aware of the module from eFig, but it's way too expensive, and I don't need the trouble-shooting capabilities.
My need is specialized, and I can't use the USB connector (I'm using it for the keyboard, and no, I don't want to hack the keyboard).
This is not a module that would be likely to make money for anyone, but it's one I'd sure like to have.

Why Springboard II? The Springboard slot we have can do this right now! I have adapters for CF, MemoryStick, and SD/MMC in my hand right now (it's making typing difficult ). I even have an adapter that works with CF+ modems
Are the memorystick and cf+ springboards released yet? Is cf+ the same as CF type II that takes the ibm 1 gig microdrive?
