Question Sharing address files

I'm wondering if it is possible to share and update address files between multiple users who don't share a common PC.

Basically at work there is list of contacts with pagers, office numbers, that is easier to reference from a PDA than going through the operator. No written resource is available except directories which are not up to date.

Someone beamed me a copy of what someone had painstakingly saved, but daily we find errors and update on our own. If we beam back, then we'll just get duplicates. How can we share a set of Business contacts since we all have different handhelds and separate home PC's (and no work PC available for sync)?

Is this posible? Just explaining it is hard.

No problem at all, if money is no object.

Microsoft Exchange Server (About $1200) can be loaded on your file server, and the address list can be made a "Public Folder" that all of the computers on the network share and contribute to. Then, upgrade to Chapura Pockemirror Pro (Which syncs to public folders) and everyone in your organization is sharing an address book (Or multiple address books, I use 4 in my company).

You can even share calanders this way, which is very convenient.

Microsoft Exchange Server is a somewhat expensive solution, but it will do what you request 100%. Email me if you need more information.

How about a free way?

Money is an object in this case. I guess I just keep mine up to date and everyone else will be on their own.

Is there no simple free way to do this?

I'm not at a computer with Palm Desktop so I my next statement may be way off the mark.

I think there is an import/export function in PalmDesktop for such purposes. You can't synchronize (i.e. when you update yours, everyone else's is also updated) but you can send it to everyone that needs it via email.
