Is it my visor or the handspring in general... my visor has a MUCH dimmer backlight than my friends Palm. And isn't the contrast. I mean it's not important. (I love my VDx dim light and all)

My understanding is this is typical of the Handspring Visor. I remember reading this in an early review of the Visor, but I cannot find that review anymore. My Visor is also very dim compared to my old Palm III.

Really? Mines pretty bright. Even in dim light

Mine also seems very bright when I need it. Then again--I've never compared it to a PalmIII

Yes, I have had a Visor and a Palm IIIx together in the same dark room and the Visor's backlight is definitely slitghly dimmer than the Palm IIIx's
