Ordered a Duro-Clip from theclip.com. For ten bucks (plus shipping) it's a Nokia-style belt clip with a button to stick onto whatever. I put mine on the outside of the case that came with my visor - instant holster. Anyway, I had the thing for less than a day when I was getting in my car to go to lunch with the Visor still clipped onto my belt, even though there're clear warnings on the website against this. Since the Duro-Clip locks the device into place, the clip breaks before anything pops out, which is exactly what happened. I dropped an email to theclip people and in less than 2 hours I had a response that a new one was in the mail. Props to TheClip!

You put the button on the removable case?? Did that not put excessive strain on the visor where the case attaches at the top where the springboard is? I have read countless Posts here at visor central where the VDX chips and cracks exactly where I just described. I am surprised that the visor itself did not seperate from the case to send it flying?

I did something similar. I attatched the button to the leather case, but it started to peal away after a few days (not enough surface contact for such a flexible thing).

So then I got a piece of rigid plasic, about the size of my visor (but very thin) and glued it onto the case and then glued the button onto the plastic. I used Household Goop to attatch the plastic to the case and Plastic Surgery to attatch the button to the plastic. The glue that you use is very important as I had tried several different glues until I came across www.thistothat.com (a site that I highly recommend for anyone searching for a good glue to use for a particular job).
It has been about a week now and my holster (total cost was about $15, including choosing some incorrect glues) seems solid.

This was a concern of mine (the Visor separating from the case) at first but it's so far not been a issue. And there are no signs of anything cracking.

What sort of material is the button made out of? Do you worry that the Visor will fall out of the top of the case ( I assume it's the case that came with the the DLX)? Finally do you have any pics that you can post? Thanks.

Sorry, no pictures (I have got to get a digital camera one of these days). Best Buy sells "The Clip", so you can see it for yourself. It is some sort of plastic (and the package it came in does not idicate which type of plastic).
You are correct that the case is the standard case that came with the deluxe. I am not worried that the Visor will fall out of the top. The standard case seems to hold the Visor pretty snug. I have held it upside down several times to check this and it seems like it isn't going anywhere.

I used the Clip standard version for almost a year on the leather slip
case. I drilled a small hole in the center of the tab and used a short
screw with a large head. I ran the
screw from the inside about an
inch from the top thru the hole in the tab. I now use various cases
depending on what modules I want
to carry.
