metal case for Edge?
Does anybody have the metal case for the Edge?
http://www.handspring.com/products/...58&cat=2555
If so do you like it? How is it holding up? Any other suggestions for cases?

I like it
I have the HS Aluminum case for the Edge, and I love it so far. I carry my Edge in my back pocket alot, and I found that with the flip cover, some of the buttons would get pushed and I would end up with tons of memos that only contained a . in them. That got old really fast(when there were 35 in one day) so I decided that I had to do something about it. I bought the HS case and I havent had any problems since. It is true that you have to slide the Edge out of the case a little to hotsync, but the case is made in such a way that it has a little catch about an inch from the bottom of the case that holds the Edge at the right distance for it to be able to hotsync.
All in all, I would say that due to the limited number of Edge specific cases, this one is the the better way to go if you cant afford something like the Rhinoskin Edge case.

Hey guys,
I've used the flip cover, the aluminum case and the slip leather case, and right now I'd have to say I like the slim leather case the most.
The default flip cover is really nice because it adds very little thickness to the edge (which is why I bought it in the first place), but it never seemed very durable to me.
I bought the aluminum case first and absolutely loved it -- it's really sleek. However, the book-style opening was a problem because I could never hold the edge comfortably. In truth, you can't really "hold" the edge -- you can only lay it in your hand -- and that made me worried.
I'm now using the slim leather case, and I really like it. Because I'm left-handed I can slip the velcro loop tongue between my thumb and the side of my hand. That way I can lay it in my palm but not feel worried about it slipping away from me. Although it attaches to the edge at the top and bottom like all of the cases other visors, I don't really miss the luxury of keeping it in the case while I hotsync (a la aluminum case). It's also nicer than the aluminum case when you need to install a module.
I use the springboard sled a fair amount, and I was annoyed with having to slide it out of the aluminum case. I didn't like the wear and tear that would put on my edge sled tracks. With the leather case, though, all I have to do is press on the top of the case and it's out and ready to go.
All in all -- you should choose the case based on how you use your visor edge. If you want to keep the slip form factor and feel, you want to comfortably secure the edge in your hand, and you think you will frequently use the springboard sled -- stick with the default flip cover. If you want a nice, durable case that is as unique as your visor edge, and you don't plan to use the sled all that much -- buy the aluminum case. If you want to securely hold the edge and want to use the sled, but you want something different or more substantial or functional than the flip cover -- get a slim leather case. That's my $0.02.

metal vs leather
Hi there:
I bought the metal case and I like it a lot: it looks nice, like the Edge itself. You have to slip the Edge a little to hotsync, but it's easy due to the fact that the case has plastic protuberances inside the guides. The only thing I don't like is the "too much solid" feeling when I leave my Edge on a table or desk. I prefer a more "softly" feeling, so I decided to buy the slim leather case, wich is -in my opinion- a little more protective for the device.

Alas, Toby, you cannot have the sled installed and use the slim leather case at the same time. If it's any consolation, though, I have not yet seen an Edge case that could accommodate the installed sled. Has anyone heard of one?
I like it
I've been using the aluminum case for my Edge for a little over a month now, and I definitely like it. The case seems much more durable than the original flip cover. It seems to stand up well to being put in my back pocket and being sat upon while driving. The things I don't like about it are that it's somewhat awkward to hold the device with the cover open, and you have to pull the case up a bit when doing HotSyncs. Also I have noticed some black smudges from the case getting on my Edge, but they come off with a tissue or by wiping with my finger. All in all, it's one of the best Visor cases I've used, and I have used a lot.

I have one -- I like it but I think it was/is overpriced. It adds to the form factor minimally only. Not a big deal. It is beautiful--
Seems to be sturdy and obviously more protective than the flip cover alone.
It's ducky.
