-- Palm vs Vizor (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=29)
I think it is funny how everyone is talking about selling their "old" Palm-funny because Handspring made it sound like this PDA was not made for those who had a Palm for business use, but for the more consumer side-hence the ease of expandibility and use. Now everyone is leaving their Palm in the dust and racing to get a Visor-didn't Handspring say that it was friends with 3Com in this deal?-I think Dubinsky and her partner guy got frustrated at Palm-left to start over right, and here they are, they want to put Palm into the ground----anyways just a theory. Even that guy from handspring says that this is far better than Palm, even his Palm V! Now that's serious competition
. New race, I bet 3Com will try to be the first to make a color screen model.
Oh, by the way-those of you selling your old Palms-how much??
Actually Palm has announced (several times in the last year) that they want to liscence the OS to more and more HW devlopers. It seems to me they want out of the high overhead, low margin hardware market and into the mid-overhead high margin OS liscencing world M$ has enjoyed for so long with crap like Win 9x and Office
