Question

How about the Hitch Hiker's Guide (the book, not the story) to the Galaxy as a Springboard module? Maybe on flash Ram, so it can be updated?

Wink

Yeah! And they should make replacement covers that say "Don't Panic" in large, friendly letters on the front!

Did you hear that Douglas Adams' company is going to be producing a real Guide? I don't remember the URL but if you search for it on slashdot.org you'll find the story.

If they're going to make a real Guide product, hopefully they'll think about a Springboard guide. I know I'd buy one and probably more after my friends steal them.

Better yet, play the interactive-fiction (aka text adventure) version of HHGTtG on
your Visor.

There are a lot of text adventures available
for Palm OS, mostly free. Although I'm a little bit scared the Visor will turn into a glorified gameboy with the way they are headed so far, I have a soft spot for these old text games.

Dave... I just ordered Infocom's Masterpiece Collection (which contains every single text adventure that Infocom ever put out [with the exceptions of Shogun and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy]) for $16.00, and plan on using Pilot-Frotz to put them on my Visor. It'll be REAL convenient to be able to plop down on my couch and play through these whenever I want...

Another cool game would be Rogue... remember that mid-late 80's game? It used text graphics, so I wouldn't think it should be too hard to port to PalmOS. Could use the Grafitti pad to move, select inventory item to use, etc.

That would be fun.

Here's a Rogue page...
