already sent e-mail to the memplug folks about this (twice -- Friday afternoon and this morning)

here's what I did:

turned off all hacks
installed the update
got the fatal error
installed eraser & ran it

when I tried to re-run the update, I got a message which says

"the software in the update is not compatible with this module
it cannot be used to update this module"

also, PiBackup, PiMover, PiViewer, PiPrefs, and gMovie do not show up on my Visor's screen

any ideas?

Did you follow the directions completely from their web page (http://memplug.sjweb.net/MyUpdate.htm)? On step 4 it says to "Press the "Page Down" button and click "Update Now" at the same time". Maybe this will help. If not, you have something new.
