-- Reversing the backlight... (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2249)
I've tried to reverse my backlight (to the way it was on the old Palm III) using the command "[Shortcut Symbol] . 8" and thought the OS seems to recognize the command, the backlight does not reverse. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

You can install HackMaster and GreenLightHack. This will invert your screen while the backlight is on.

You still won't like it, it's not the same as the original P3 backlight. Palm dropped the ball here. The inverted backlight is still made up of lighted pixels, not a lit background.

So there isn't a way to get it to backlight not through the pixels?
The reason the backlight is poor through the pixels is because the visor has the same refresh rate as the Palm V (higher than Palm IIIx) so there is less time when there isn't text on the screen, thus less light gets through.
If anyone knows a way to reverse the backlight (not reverse the screen pixels) please let me know.
Also, thank you for the quick response.
