Okay, everyone who ordered a Visor Deluxe this morning...tell us what color you picked and why?

I ordered the "Graphite". I think the other colors are cool but are sorta trendy and will get old soon...

So, what color did you order?

For those of you who come back to check the latest totals I've edited this original message and placed the image with the graph showing the latest totals. There will be a date at the bottom of the image showing when it was last updated.

I ordered the Ice or Clear. FYI all the colored models have a clear back so if you order green it will only be green in the front and the back will be clear. Graphite is graphite.

Cool

I ordered mine in "ice" which I think is very cool!! (Pun intended)

I ordered the graphite, or black. I, too, think that the other colors may get tiresome after awhile. Also, I have to at least pretend this is for business!

I got the Orange colour case. Need to be different.

Ice, Ice baby. I tend to agree with the notion that any specific color will get old quickly. In my opinion though, the "ice" is not a color... merely the opposite of "graphite" gray. Simply a "shade" void of personal meaning. More importantly, when looking at the screen, my eyes seem to like the contrast between the light color and the LCD green/yellow.

Lastly, it doesn't look like every other gadget and gizmo around my house (portable phone, cel phone, 3 or 4 remote controls, pager, laptop, N64 console, everything is charcoal. I need to be able to find my info quickly.

Just think, when they come out with the Remote Control Springboard (it's got infrared already remember) I'll be able to find the right remote quicker! ;-)

Yeah, I got the graphite one, too. Same reason. Or maybe we're just all too dull to go with the fruity colors?

Cool

I went with the blue one. The salesman said it was "an ocean blue" which I like. The graphite one was my second choice, but it will look too similar to everyone else's (Palm pilots and the IBM workpad). This should stand out a bit more. I meant to ask if the stylus matches the color, anyone know?

I ordered blue for myself and my hubby ordered graphite. If my cmptr screen is interpreting the colours well, the blue seemed the brightest, sharpest and most elegant colour. Hubby likes standard business colours - I like to be different (a bit!) I'm disappointed to read the backs are clear - i'm not too keen on that but if its in its case mose of the time - who cares!?

Thumbs up

I ordered graphite, i hate things that stand out too much.

Actually, the clear back on the colored ones is probably a plus. I am thinking that any springboard will match 'graphite' ... but if the boards are also offered in 'ice' or clear, they would match all of the colored models.

If the Visors were colored backs, the springboards would not try to match at all. With the backs being only 'graphite' or 'ice' ... they might play along and offer springboards in those two colors to match the Visor itself.

I haven't ordered one yet, but when I do, it will be the blue one.

Cool

It is clear that the best one to buy is Ice. That one will definitely get everyone's attention. However... the blue is also a pretty nice one also. Maybe I should get the blue one. I don't know!!!

Does anyone think that the color of the case will make the image on the screen more difficult to see? I am curious.

I don't know...I think a color or ice model might look goofy when attached to one of the peripherals. Yes, manufacturers may well opt to make their peripherals in several colors; then again, with all the Bondi Blue clearance sales sure to be going on in the near future, they may be a little gunshy. I have a feeling most peripherals are going to be designed with the graphite in mind. That said, I'm leaning toward ice myself.

ice - too bored with graphite, but getting too old for the colorful ones

Went for blue myself. I'd have preferred clear, but "Ice" doesn't look clear, but rather a semi-translucent white color. Also, I've seen a clear Palm III case, and while it's really cool, it really shows scratches.

I'll be curious to see if they do offer any colors in Springboard modules. I can imagine that being a bit of a logistical nightmare... I imagine we'll see mostly graphite modules, which will look pretty bad on the clear backs. I'd rather see clear modules, which would look fine on graphite Visors, but I can see companies worried about offending business users with that.

Green, you only live once. I am actually looking forward to my first meeting with clients and pulling out a green Visor. Can't say I think completely within the box.

I'll take the ice one, because it looks good with the new Mac-Design!
Think Different! Tom ;-)

Graphite. I don't want to be distracted by a bright colour surrounding the screen. Also, I'd prefer if my Visor were *not* noticed by everyone at the coffee shop! Besides I fear that the colour will get old real fast.

Blue. Stylish yet still professional. I was ready to order Ice until I saw pictures of the Palm III in clear and didn't particulary care for it.
