-- Serial Version With NT4 Compatability? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=1547)
They arent making a Serial (or propritary USB) version of the Visor are they? Im an NT4 user and I really like the Visor. Im planning on moving to Win2000 Pro as soon as the official release is out. Will there be Win2kPro support?
From Handspring's pages:
"Serial cradle option available for systems without a USB port."
So you'll need to purchase it as an option from them. See nothing on NT compatibility. They only state Windows 98 as a requirement for the PC user. May have to wait a bit for verification from any NT/W2K users, or contact Handspring to see if they can provide any info.
I really wish people would stop ignoring Windows NT 4.0. I'm ready to upgrade to Windows 2000 as well... But....
I ordered the serial adapter ($19.95 w/ Visor, $29.95 by itself). Handspring informs me that this *SHOULD* work w/ NT, but then again the person on the phone barely spoke english. Anyway, I can use it for my laptop if it doesn't work.
I'm running RC1 of Windows 2000 Professional, and I'm ordering the Visor Deluxe this Friday. Hopefully it'll ship sometime around my birthday - October 10
