A question for ICU Power Accessory Users
How long can you go between charges? I just installed an ICU Power Accessory kit and saw the battery drop from 100% to 96% after 45 minutes of use (I was playing WorldWar). I turned my Platinum off and went to bed. When I turned it on the next morning, the battery indicator read 50% and quickly dropped to 30% with the alarm going off over a period of 60 seconds. (Yes, I did change the battery indicator settings to NiMH using Battery Panel.) When I plugged the charger in, the status light turned green after only 20 minutes of charging. I am concerned that I have a bad set of batteries or a messed up charger.

I really had bad luck with my ICU on my VDX. The batteries would die in 3 days (versus 10-14 days for Duracell Ultra (yes...I'm a heavy user)). And one day I heard a crackling sound from my Visor and smelled a sulfurous odor. On flipping open my battery compartment, I found one of the batteries very hot to the touch and the plastic around the positive pole MELTED.
Needless to say, I wasn't pleased and ICU's unhelpful response did not improve my mood. I've since eaten the $40 and system. In hindsight, I should have simply purchased rechargeable batteries and a separate recharger.
I don't like or trust the ICU and the battery life was AWFUL.
