When I try to connect to the net with my VDX/Motorola Timeport using BeamSync, I get the following message:

"modem command error.Check modem prefs.(Ox1105)"

Checking modem prefs reveals only two modem options (ie standard and custom) yet curiously no mention of IrDA. Speed is set to 9,600bps. I've tried both options, flow ctl on, off and automatic,as well as various different strings (as advised by both my ISP and phone network), but I still get the same error message.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.
