Question Problem

Problem:

Initial screen on turning Prism on displays a "border screen" around the entire screen (with Time, Battery Indicator, and Up/Down Arrows).

Tapping "Applications" icon (with broad upturning arrow)displays the screen I want, without the "border screen".

Tapping any program within the initial border screen causes Error Crash.

No "border screen" when Hagiwara 16 MB Memory Module installed.
Initial "border screen" with Memplug; sans "border screen" can be displayed by tapping "Applications" icon.
"Border screen" appears when installing eyemodule2, and remains after removing camera and installing Memplug.

Why is this a problem for me?
Crashes happen after tapping some icons in the "border screen".

I tried to remove it by temporarily uninstalling ActNames, which seemed to help a little, but not totally.

I'm sure I'm missing the obvious.
Any thoughts?

Thanks for your attention.

That happens to me if I have Launcher III enabled and then I pull my 8MB springboard out. It also happens to people who delete 3rd-party launchers without disabling them first. It's a relic of Palm OS 1.0--it's the original Palm launcher, and part of every Palm OS since.

If you had a 3rd-party launcher installed but deleted it, try reinstalling it, enabling and then disabling it, then deleting.

If you currently have such a launcher installed, try disabling it before pulling the Hagiwara 16MB module out.
