Question

I'm interested in getting the Rhodiana case after reading all the rave reviews. I normally would carry my visor in a pocket of my lab coat, but having the ability to attach it to your belt sounds like it could be useful at times. In your opinion, if I ordered the belt clip accessory, would the knob that sticks out from the back of the case be an annoyance if I decided to just carry it in my lab coat pocket? How far out does the knob stick out? Or should I just go for the plain case if I intend to primarily just carry my visor in a pocket? Any opinions would be helpful.

Lightbulb

The knob extends about 3/16". I would get the belt clip case...that way you have the option if you ever want it. The knob is pretty rounded off and I doubt it would catch on anything. BTW, EXCELLENT CASE!

I often write with the visor laying on a table. Will the knob for the belt clip be a problem?

No. The two snaps at the top stick out about as far as the holder for the belt clip, making a 3-point balance for the Visor in the case. This seems stable enough unless you write on the very edge of the middle or lower part of the screen, in which case the Visor could tip a bit under pressure. Writing in the graffiti area is not a problem. You might wish to rest the case on a piece of paper, however, so the snap opening doesn't scratch the table, if it is a fine surface.
