SnapNType
Why wait until next year to get an integrated keyboard similar to the Treo? The SnapNType gives users that functionality now.

Yes, but is it better than the Thumboard, and when are they coming out with one of THOSE for the Prism? Clearly, we all recognize we need A keyboard. The real question is whether this is the one to buy!
Minstrel Wireless modem
Nice to see a review of the SNT.
I still want to know if it is compatible with the Minstrel Wireless modem before I get one.
Does any body know????
After weeks of backorders and 10 days(according to Palmgear) in the United States postal system, I now have a snapNtype. I really can not say i am all that impressed, the fitalystamp seems to have more functioality and ease of use but I will give it a few days to see if it grows on me. BTW does anyone have a recomendation on a case that can be used with the keyboard attached?

SnapnType
Still waiting for my backordered SnapnWait.
I got mine today. I'm a little disappointed in the keyboard - on first blush it is not as nice as the built-in thumb keyboard on my Blackberry.
However, I plan to play with it for a few days before making up my mind. After I do so, I'll try and post my impressions.
Received mine recently thinking it would be great with my Visorphone and what do I find, they are not comptiable. Plug in when phone in no repone, plug in before phone it work for a bit and thn crashes my Visor, makes you want to scream.
Lts hope some sort of software patch come out.
Purchased the SnapNType for my visor about a week ago. I Kind of like it, but disappointed that it is not compatible when using applications like MSN messenger, blazer or any app that uses the IR port.
Really like the use of the smiley face board, which is great for using in sending txt messages.
The keyboard makes it much easier on the eye when typing in text than when using the built in keyboard, however I can only manage short inputs, as typing on it for a long time makes my thumbs ache after a while.
I shall keep going with it as we dont seem to have much choice of pocket sized boards for the visor in the uk.
Has anyone tried the Kensington PocketType on the visor yet??? would love to here your views on that one.
I bought the Kensington PocketType PDA keyboard for the Visor about 2 months ago at a local Best Buy. My opinion is the same as Luke Skywalker's opinion of Han Solo's spaceship: "What a piece of junk!"
The keyboard was way too small for me to use. It seems to be smaller than the keyboard on a RIM Blackberry, which I have no problem using in spite of my big hands. But the Kensington keyboard was so horrible that I returned it the next day. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS JUNK!
I have a Snap 'N Type, and I must say that I am pleased with it- for what it does.
I am using a Prism, and have a Stow-a-Way. If I need to do any 'real' typing, I will either do it on my desktop or the Stow-A-Way, but the Snap 'N Type is very handy for places like in the car, waiting for a movie to start, etc.
I do not carry it attached to my Prism, but in a small cloth bag in my pocket. I am still trying to figure out something to carry in the little clear snap-on space filler! If I were going to carry the keyboard attached, I would try my Rhinoskin 2000, some of the camera cases, or a largish pouch.
Functionality- not too bad. Some of the keys are a bit 'iffy' when you press them, and some are spaced such that I sometimes hit a neighbor. The layout is not too bad, although there are a couple keys that are either located or labeled 'oddly'.
Yeah, my thumbs get tired after a couple minutes as well, but since I keyboard with a modified 4 or 5 finger 'hunt and peck', I guess the Snap 'N Type just gives my otherwise unused thumbs some equal time!
