Keyboard users: Stowaway or GoType?

Just wondering how popular the GoType! is against the Stowaway. Which do you use?

STOWAWAY ALL THE WAY!

Stowaway is smaller than GoType when closed yet is full-sized when open, which GoType isn't.

However, GoType seems a little more rugged, but I have a Stowaway and I keep it in its own (Levenger) leather case in my duffel bag and it's in great shape.

I love using it at hotels to take notes on business trips. I don't carry a laptop.

I also use the stowaway for business trips but my favorite way to use it is in class. No more looking away from a screen to write and then looking up only to see that the instructor has moved on. I even type faster than I write as an added benefit. Plus no rewriting and organizing my notes once I get home. Just sync and print.
With my Prism, I can even see in dark auditoriums, although I do have to turn it wayyyyy down.

If you can touch type, the stowaway is the ONLY way because it's full sized.

I had a GoType. It was nice. It served a great purpose. However, being a 70+ wpm typist, it just didn't cut it.

The full size keyboard of the stowaway is the only good option (that I have found) for proficient touch typists.

I had a GoType! Pro for my VDX but when I upgraded to a VPR I had to get the stowaway. They are both very good keyboards. I liked the gotype because it was more rugged and came with some pretty good apps (takenote and wordsleuth).

If you will only being using the keyboard on flat surfaces then the stowaway is the key. ALso, if you're planning on using your keyboard with a prism the stowaway is the only way to go

I looked at both, and decided that the Stowaway's collapsibility and full-size keys were of greater precedence than GoType's size and ruggedness.
The stowaway is smaller when stowed away , too.
Also, a rebate of some sort was available for the Stowaway at the time which negated the price difference.

Stowaway by far!!!!!!

It's great for business trips, conferences, etc. I have, in effect, a laptop with my VPR and Stowawy, using Wordsmith and Quicksheets. I love having to only carry the Targus case which holds both and not having to lug a laptop and case with me. Great to use on planes also where you can open the Stowaway on the traytop.

Stowaway by a mile. The GoType's keys are way too small for me and nothing beats the wow factor of unfolding a Stowaway

Go type for me. I have big hands but quickly adjusted to the go type. I can pull it out of my backpack and just open the lid and it is ready. I like typing in my lap, even on my computer, so that was a pluss for me.
It also came with word sleuth and take note which I use often to take notes/write essays (although summer school is over now). The stowaway is cool because it is full sized and has a high wow factor, but it looks like something I'd break.

different strokes for different folks

Question Question

let's say you type up History notes on a Stoaway and you need to print them out for an assignment, how do you print the notes from the Stoaway

You don't print from the Stowaway. What you want to know is "How do I print from my Visor?"

Other than syncing data to your PC and printing from there, I don't know. Maybe someone else can help.

I love my Stowaway. Got it from Staples with $25.00 off and never looked back.

As a side note, I believe you can now purchase the GoType for the Prism, you just have to order it direct.

Hey GSR13: How did you get the $25 off at Staples? Combo offer, coupon, friend in the biz...?

Same for TakeNote if you use the GoType.
