When putting batteries into the visor, all we get is the Palm boot-up splash screen and about 5 seconds later a little 4x4 pixel square blinks in the upper left hand corner of the display. We have tried soft boot, warm boot, hard boot (both with erase memory and not). We have also tried pressing the reset button several times with the batteries out of the visor to attempt to flush the memory.

The visor has been working wonderfully for the past few months with no problems.

What does this mean??? How can I fix it?

Try leaving the batteries out for a couple of days and starting with fresh batteries.

If that doesn't work, it looks like you'll have to contact Handspring for a replacement.
