My case was delivered via FedEx today which is the way that I had ordered it. I got one of the custom cases that you could have your initials put on and it is nice and small.
It has 4 credit card slots and then a single vision window that will hold business cards or a visible drivers liscense.
The credit card holder is on the outside front flap and the liscense/business card holder is on the middle flap that faces the credit cards. These two flaps are held by a snap closure and then there is note pad on the back side of the liscense holder which also lays on the Visor which is held in place by the reverse cover sewn into the back flap.

No Visor logo anywhere on the leather but there is a logo on the note pad bottom margin.

This case is what I've been looking for from Palm for years. It's just big enough to cover the entire Visor and should provide decent protect from minor drops and such.

One thing that would make it perfect would be a zippered outer back panel to store receipts or coins.

Is this case the same as the non-custom ones except for the initials?

No there are some minor differences because of the 3 panel scenario with the note pad. There is a inexpensive case that has a note pad but is called a bi-fold where by the case itself is larger, the note pad actually attaches to the left edge of the front panel.

This case is not shown at the moment at the Handspring web site. The middle panel is attached to the center spine so that it opens exactly like a book. Closure is ensured by the first to panels attaching to each other by a "snap" closure which is on the inside of the panels and then the back panel is held closed by a strap that "wraps" around these other two panels and snaps on the front or outside of the first panel.

When the web page was up it provided a decent graphic of the case however all of these custom cases have been suspended for order until a future date.

There is also a stylus holder in the spine and a pen holder next to that. The pen holder, better be a short pen, because the case is just a fraction of an inch taller than the Visor so a standard pen will protrude out at least the top. The pen holder is attached about two thirds up towards the top. It is leather rather than an elastic holder which means that it won't like larger diameter pens.
