Screen "flash" on Prism
I have read posts about screen "flicker" on the Prism and using the "Contrast" Utility to fix that and i have downloaded that, but I think what I have noticed is something different.
Is this "flicker" everyone talks about more of a momentary brightness every so often or a constant flicker? Mine doesn't "flicker" but rather the screen flashes brighter every so often. Not a huge problem...but if it might indicate a bad screen I need to know soon since mine is a re-furbished one and I only have a 90 day warranty!
What do you guys think?

quote:The problem solve by Contrast Utility is a constant flicker or shimmer, not a periodic flash. It sounds to me like you have some sort of loose connection.

Nope, this problem is very common in Prisms - possibly 100% of them. At least in the two that I had, and in many others reported on this site as well.
Seems to be a "feature" of the Prism, unless lots of people post here that theirs has *never* done this!
Mine too
Mine does the same thing. It seems like a screen refresh of some sort. Doesn't seem to be a problem.
I just love the vibrant, bright colors. If only they would release a high resolution model with 16mb ram!

Thanks...more serious problem!
Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably have to send it back anyway as I found a problem last night a little scarier.
I had previously purchased the MiniJam, Magellan GPS, MemPlug, and HS Back-Up Module and they all worked flawlessly. Last night I received my Personal Massager and it wouldn't power up! I tried it in my Mom's Deluxe and it worked fine. On closer inspection of the Springboard slot I could see that the very last pin closest to the Visor body had been bent and moulded into the crease by a module. I can only assume that this re-furbished Prism came to me that way since I have been very careful with it!
