-- Two cradles - Dlx & Prism (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=9299)
So I am getting a Prism (should be here tomorrow) and giving my assistant my Deluxe. I realize the cradles are different, but what I want to do is have both cradles plugged into my USB port(s) at the same time. My USB card has two plugs on it, and I don't have any other USB devices on this system.
Will this work ok? Will the computer (software) "know" which cradle/PDA is syncing?
Any thoughts/warnings/encouragements?
THanks
Your Deluxe will still sync in the Prism's cradle (eliminating the "need" for the Deluxe cradle at one site), although it won't sit snug like it currently does in its own cradle.
But either way, the computer doesn't look at which cradle is sending information, it looks at the HotSync ID of the machine or the User Profile in the Palm Desktop/HotSync software.
You should be good to go so long as you change the Owner's Name on your assistant's machine...

It Works
I have a two cradle setup (Prism Cradle and Deluxe Cradle) and they work fine together...
Yes i have two at work and it works fine but you can not use both at the same time to hot sync two visors
Austin, I had the same concern & sent an e-mail to HS after
i ordered my Prism. Here's their reply.
Thank you for your e-mail.
Yes, it is possible to have both the visor's cradle and the Prism's cradle on one computer.
There should not be any problem having both USB cradle plugged in the both USB port on your computer.
Thank you,

...and they're right! I have no problem having two cradles on one computer.
