-- Stupid question about power.... (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=740)
I was just wondering if the programs continue running when you are using another application. For example... Let's say I Pocket Chess running and in the middle of a game I open up my datebook... Does the chess program continue to run and eat up the cpu and batteries? because when I reopen Pocket Chess I can continue where I left off. Am I just wasting batteries?
The answer is no. Palm OS is incapable of multitasking.
When you switch to another program or turn the Visor off, the "state" of the application is saved, so that when you return to it, its there exactly as you left it. Some applications support this and some do not.
