Battery Holster

I saw this reviewed at the Gadgeteer about two weeks ago, and promptly ordered one.



It's a nice keychain with a leather pouch to hold two AAA batteries - when you use a Visor like I do mine, it is always nice to have a spare close at hand

They have been reviewed at the Gadgeteer and the Pocket Goddess w/ great remarks, and are sold from RS Innovative for $3.95 ($2.00 shipping) and for $9.95 (yuck) from The Writers Edge

The only bad part seems that it is a personal operation, and in a small north carolina town, so it took about a week for my mail-in order to get there (i don't have a credit card to order online) and a week to get it back. Maybe that will change with the new retailer Writers Edge...though I wouldn't consider $9.95 for the keychain... I personally paid $3.95 for the device, plus $2.00 shipping, plus $3.00 money order fee - which is still to much at $8.95

Those darn boy scouts

If you want anything made out of leather that you can dream of, try finding your local boy scout summer camp (not some little spoof of boy scouts, the real thing) Then locate the leatherworking area. Tell them you want a keychain that holds these two batteries (give them two dead AAAs) and snaps shut. Come back in an hour, and voilla, you can even tip them (or if it is hot weather, just give them a cold coke)
