Question Memos and Ebooks

I Just bought a Visor Deluxe and am wondering about two things I am mostly interested in:

Does it come with a good built-in memo function, or do I need to download software? Someone mentioned software called "My Notes" but I have not found where you would download that.

What is the best ebook software? I am interested in reading pdf files in particular, does the Acrobat Palm OS software work well?
Really appreciate any help with these questions.
Thanks!

Hi.

The VDX comes with a builtin memo function--it's the right most application button. It's main limitation is it only will hold 4K per memo.

Regarding ebooks software. For pdf the only easy, free program is Acrobat for the Palm. I use it. It's OK, if slow.

If you want to read stand Palm OS doc (ebook) files, some good programs are:
CspotRun (free)
ReadThemAll (Free)
TealDoc ($)

If you want to read and write edocs:
Wordsmith (the best in my opinion $)
QuickDoc

You can find all these software at palmgear.com

Good luck.

An excellent place to learn about e-docs and find lots of files is www.memoware.com. There is a LOT of stuff there, as well as a place you can go to for help on using the Palm OS e-docs.

Memos- besides the built-in fuction, you may want to consider either DiddleBug or BugMe. They allow you to take handwritten notes or sketches. DiddleBug is free, but BugMe offers a few extra features- (in my opinion, DiddleBug is fine for Deluxe users!)

Another good software source is http://freewarepalm.net. You will find a lot of good free software there to try out!
