Will Eudora Internet Suite initiate mail?
I just installed Eudora Internet Suite as my mail client on my Visor Prism. So far, so good, except that I've noticed that performing a hotsync operation no longer initiates a mail download, from the POP servers by Outlook Express, as the generic ROM Mail app did. I can't seem to find any setting that will enable this with Eudora. Is it possible?
Thanks for any insight!
Eudora Internet Suite
I think Eudora does not download email when you hot sync but allows you to download mail from POP servers when you logon. you need to connect to an ISP and then logon to your mail server to access the email.

You have to check your mail first
In order to have EIS get new mail at HotSync, you'll have to open your mail client and have it download the new messages first. Once that has finished you should initiate your HotSync.

Thanks for the responses. Well, it's as I thought, unfortunately. I liked the fact that the built-in Mail app initiated/triggered OE's download of new mail as it was hotsyncing. With EIS I now have an extra layer of task to perform. It's functionality is vastly superior in other ways though.
Eudora mail download question
I have Eudora (desktop) put my email into folders depending on the sender. But when I download email to my Visor, as far as I can tell it only downloads from the IN box, which isn't necessarily where most of my new email is.
Do I understand this correctly? Is there a work around?
Thanks
Sue
Mail Conduit
Did you know that Eudora has a mail conduit as well? To get you default mail to download, you need to disable the Eudora conduit by setting it to "Do Nothing" and enable the default Mail conduit by setting it to "Synchronize to the Files". Click on the red and blue circular icon in the bottom of your screen...beside the time....and select Custom... to make the changes.

Eudora mail
Let me see if I can answer the question about the Eudora Conduit. Eudora (Palm) can download email from a desktop email app, Eudora, Outlook, etc. You tell it which program to download email from.
If you don't want Eudora to download email, but you want the default mail app to download email, as stated above,
<you need to disable the Eudora conduit by setting it to "Do Nothing" and enable the default Mail conduit by setting it to "Synchronize to the Files". >
Does that help?

...ahh.... I figured he was actually answering the question in the thread re: the subfolders and/or getting the conduit to initial a mailsend... I'm pretty sure everyone involved knows there's a conduit.
