Thumbs up

I just wanted to know how to protect my Visor handheld. I've heard many things on how eaisly the screen scraches. How can I protect it from that? And I am a High School student what can I do to protect it from everyday school life?

OK, now for serious talk. I would recommend at OtterBox 2K. I use it to carry my Visor in a bookbag. It takes a real big beating--and its fairly cheap (for a case).

I would also recommend an Otterbox. I got an Otterbox 3000 which is bigger than the 2000 -- I can fit the Visor, a couple batteries, and 2 springboard modules in the case. It's great for transporting a Visor, but it's sort of a pain to undo the clips on the case prior to use.

That's a good point on the OB3K -- I considered it too. But decided on the 2K because it was more suitd to my needs (I have no springboards). I like the 2K cuz it fits it nearly perfect (with a piece of foam on top and with the hardcover on). Investigate both--because they're both viable depending on you.

I dont want to spend all that money on WriteRights. I heard that there are ways to make screen protectors? Has anyone heard of that?

Cool

Do a search of the forums for the words "vinyl" or "transparency"

Vinnie:

You can use Transparencie as screen protectors...just cut to size.

I, personally, think that the WriteRights are a good product and worth the money. You can usually find them under $19 for 12 at places like http://www.buy.com or http://www.outpost.com

They have a very nice texture to them, which I prefer over the home-made solutions.

Been using Avery Self-Adhesive Laminating Sheets since the day I received my Visor. Just cut, peel and stick. (There is a little technique involved)
The action is smooth and easy and the price is right! I get about 3 weeks a sheet with heavy use.

Does the Adhesive mess up the Visor screen? I've heard some stories that the adhesive messes up the screen.
