Airport IR internet?
Does anyone know where I can get a list of the airports with that IR internet access for palms, etc. Do you have to have any special software? What are your experiences?
Ir?
I've heard of Ir kiosks where you can download specific types of information, some of which may be pulled from the internet, but never direct IP access. That would be functionally impossible. No range to speak of with your device, and no way to distribute discreet IP addresses.
Methinks what you are thinking about are 802.11b environments. I know several airports, and many Starbucks have them, but can't point you anywhere specific. And you'd need to pick up a $150+ 802.11 module for your handheld.
I was talking about something like this:

I was hoping that they had it somewhere other than Singapore. It would be a shame to have to travel through there on my way from AL to CA just so that I could use this service
