-- What is "datebk3"? (Duplicate entries?) (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2771)
I was just searching for some items on my Visor and noticed that'll it will find duplicates in the Datebook. One will be under the heading 'Datebook' and the other under 'datebk3'. What is 'datebk3'? Should it be there?

so, should i have both entries, or just the datebk3?
They are both standard equipment on the Visor and they're in ROM... so you can't delete either of them. Just pick the one you like best (my preference is the enhanced one) and hide the other one in some obscure application category that you infrequently use (on my Visor, it's relegated to "Misc Stuff").

Sure would be nice if the plain DATEBOOK was eliminated tho...

From the DateBk3 FAQ http://www.gorilla-haven.org/pimlico/datebk3faq.htm

Actually, the duplicate searching of the same DateBook database annoys the heck out of me, so I actually fixed it by using 'FindIgnoreHack', which lets you specify the apps whose dbs should NOT be searched (I set it to ignore the default DateBook app, as well as SmartDoc since I have a ton of DOCs that take too long to search).
You can find the hack at palmgear: http://www.palmgear.com/software/sh...amp;prodID=4102
