I am trying to find an explanation of Hacks, and what purpose they serve. Thanks for any help.

think of hacks as plugins, or extension to the system. they are like little programs that are always running in the background.

firstm you get a program called Xmaster(its a new and better version of the original hackmaster)

then you download some hacks.

different hacks are made to do all sorts of things, like make a rlist of recently used programs popup when you do a certain graffiti stroke. others make it so your visor doesnt automatically capitalize the first letter after a period. others allow you to have a background wallpaper image always visible. others let you overclock your visor.

Unhappy Did not have good experience with hacks!!!

I have a visor prism and the last visor I had was the edge....I used to use hacks without any care in the world until the problems happened...I lost data during crucial times...this happened atleast 5 times...it was all because of the hacks...they conflict highly with the system and truthfully don't do much in my opinion...

I run 5 hacks at all times and have for years with no adverse effects.

You may find that some of them conflict with each other or with other programs but it's not that hard to find a set that is stable. Early on, when I was still trying to find this stable set, I had a few crashes. But I've never had to do a hard reset because of a hack. Even if I did, that's what my backups are for.

I have found this hack called CRASH. I like it and it seems to work. What it does is it catches the fatal error system crashes and performs a soft/system reset on your device. I've seen it work a lot on my edge (unfortunately), but that was from bad programs and other bad hacks.

There is another program called "TrapWeaver" that also helps prevent the crashes.

Yea, Trapweaver is great. I have about 15 hacks running at one time, and I do not have any problems.

I forgot I have that, too. It also does a good job.
