-- video card springboard (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=5214)
what would it take to make a springboard that has lots of additional ram to drive a powerpoint presentation on a projection device. Sure would save totin around a heavy laptop
i was thinking of this after reading about Jeff Hawkins? from Handspring mentioning it. it would probably involve the powerpoint viewer program or a version of that which would be able to take powerpoint or other presentation files and do nothing but display them. I wouldn't want to make the Visor try and do more than it's intended by including editing features. But storage and output would be great!
I would LOVE a module like that and it's good to hear a high up from Handspring mention it.

Great idea. I have seen PowerPoint from WINCE done - a lot easier than lugging a laptop. Connection to projector might be problem as standard video plug is rather large. Conversion program would need to be developed. I have BackupInstall that claims to convert PowerPoint to PDA. Yes, the text was there along with a lot of wrong punctuation for bullets. Another presentation point - I just ordered a combination stylus and laserpointer; sounds cool, but we will see.
