That's cool. Now if the UPS driver that has mine will just step on the gas and get on over here to Tennessee!

Can you tell us the address where it shipped from?

Thanks

Sorry I didn't reply earlier but I had to go to a meeting. The package was shipped UPS Ground from Fremont, CA to my work address in San Francisco, CA. The shipping cost was $10 so I don't know whether I got the "express shipping" that I requested or not.

The blue Visor Deluxe does look a bit like a Gameboy but I don't find that a problem at all --- my PalmPilot Pro was such a dull, boring grey.

I can tell you all, it's worth the wait

Question

Okay, if you can pull yourself away from your Visor for a sec (I TOTALLY understand if you can't. I wouldn't be able to.), I've got a question or two for you.

When you put the stylus back into its slot, does it feel like it just "smushes" into place, or does it feel good and sturdy? I read that they're using foam to grip the stylus, and I got a picture in my head of six months down the road when little bits of foam that have become beaded up are falling out of the stylus holder and the stylus doesn't stay in place well any more.

Is the cover all that difficult to work with? Does the cover also cover the stylus slot, so that there's no danger of the stylus coming out while the cover's on?

Upon seeing the blue Visor, did you kinda wish that you had bought a graphite Visor instead? (I ordered blue as well)

Is the initial startup procedure the same as the Palm Pilot's startup (set the date, calibrate the touch screen, etc.)?

Thanks!

Typically (4me) UPS ground in California arrives in 1 or 2 days.

ChrisB,

To answer your questions:
1. When I put the stylus back into its slot, it does feel kinda "smushy". It does have a feel like there may be foam to grip it in place but I think it's just the grooves in the bottom of the stylus. I'm sure I'll be getting another stylus soon though --- hopefully something like the "black nail" with a reset pin.
2. The cover is really easy to work with. My first inclination was to open it at the bottom instead of the correct way which is via a clip at the top though.
3. No, I do not wish I had bought the graphite Visor. In fact, I would think that I would prefer any of the colors over the graphite. I don't think that it looks that much like a Gameboy --- I was just kidding.
4. Yes, the initial startup is much the same as the Palm Pilot. The screen is great though

I hope we all get ours tomorrow or soon... I don't think my brain can handle not having my visor AND not having any money.

I don't think that we should be too tough on ka"r"ahari. I'm feeling in such a good mood that I can pretty much forgive anything.

May all of you, waiting for Visors, receive them soon!!!

Now to start shopping for Springboards... Wish that I'd bought the modem as I am actually travelling tomorrow.

Cool

Hopefully, Kalahari, we won't be seeing any posts from you over in the bug reports section.

I'm worried now. I really thought more people would be posting the arrival of their Visor. I only see one, and he lives in California

I had hoped to get mine by tomorrow or Wednesday, but now it looks like it will be later.

Also, I found it ironic that Visors are being shipped from Fremont.I live in Fremont...Indiana that is!
