-- Who are the HS Blue Visor Winners? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=1356)

Question

Handspring says,
"Winners of the cool blue Visor will be chosen randomly from our email newsletter database. That includes everyone who signs up now, and everyone who already has, so, if you've been getting our e-newsletter since way back in September, you're included in the contest. ... Only active e-newsletter participants will be eligible (so if you unsubscribe, you're out of luck).
* Drawings will happen weekly on Fridays, April 21st through June 30th 2000. Winners will be notified via email and will have 14 days to reply to the message or we give it to someone else. Visors should arrive within 3 weeks of the response. Don't like blue? Sorry, no exchanges. Hey, it's free."

But who are the winners? Are they regular people like us? or maybe the winners don't want to show off?

Al

I'm guessing nobody from VC has won a free Visor yet. When (not if ) I win, I'll be sure to let you all know!...

Cool

Well,

I won a Solo from a dowjones.com. Just got it today!!! Since I already have a Deluxe, I'll probably give it to my mother. It will be usefull to her as she runs her own business and somehow keeps everything in her head.

I must admit, I like the graphite a lot. My green looks so much like a toy.

I can't believe it, but a newsletter from Handspring just showed up in my inbox!!!! Hot damn....oh, wait, there's nothing "new" in here. Just some stuff that has been covered on VC for sometime now. Oh, well, at least I finally got a newsletter.

Yeah, I received one of the newsletters too... It tells us nothing new at all, in fact it's kinda like getting nothing at all. I hoped this would be worth the wait but I guess not. Oh well, as long as I win : )

I got a letter for May. And your right, nothing interesting.

How about a blue one for the graphite?

Talking

Maltair

I'd have to say you "BLUE" it?!

...buuuuut it's a better option. I'll think about this.

in order of preference:

1) green
2) blue
3) orange
4) graphite
5) ice

In the meantime, you sell me on how we swap from East coast to West. I'm gonna play on eBay.

mr. kia

Here is a real tough way we could swap.
First, do you have any realitives on the west coast? I have an aunt in S.Carolina. I'll send mine to her and have her put it in a safe deposit box in a Bank of America. You do the same.

Then when the bank can confirm that both safety deposit boxs have the correct contents. They can then dispatch a Wellsfargo armored car to transport the contents in the deposit box's to a Bank of America near you/me.

This whole process should only take 4-6 weeks.

What do you think? It shouldn't cost any more then two to three hundred dollars a piece....
Or we could just registered snail mail it.

p.s. I prob will need help with a new sig if we do swap.

Angry

It looks like Handspring is not giving away any Visors at this time. I think they should stop making so much publicity about it and confess that they just wanted to call our attention.
