Question

I recently got a Visor Prism using the rebate deal and bought the 2yr extended warranty that's supposed to cover even a broken screen, which we all know is expensive to replace. I have a chance to return the warranty should I not like it. Anyone here ever have an opportunity to use the warranty to get a replacement unit? Is it hassle free? Is it worth $100 + tax? Thanks!

Unhappy CopUSA warranty

My experience worked out with their warranty. Some things you should know.

1. It used to be $59 for a 2 year (April 2000), but now that they give you the free stuff its $99.
2. It's a one time only shot. Once you use their (TAP)it's used up. So you can't take it back everytime it dies.
3. On the plus side - you can use the plan (if your unit dies) to get credit towards and upgrade. I upgraded 2 days ago from my dead VDX to the $200 rebate Prisim. I also chose to get the $99 2 yr again. I know you shouldn't have to get it, but peace of mind is worth something to me.

Not saying I recommend it, but those are the facts as I know them.

Hope this helps.
