Prism and Sprint
Hopefully someone out there can help me out. I have had a Visor Prism for about a year. I recently switched my cell service over to Sprint. The phone I have is the TouchPoint 1100. Is ther someway to use my cell phone as a wireless modem. If so, what equipment (cables, modules, etc.) would I need? Thanks.

Experience is what happens when something unexpected comes up.
Unless your 'phone is IR capable, you'll need a cable. I bought mine from Supply Net (the supplynet.com) . I have a Sanyo 4500 cellphone and Sprint cellular service. Cable came with great instructions, so set up was a breeze. I can access my ISP as well as the Sprint QNC (quick network connection) to access my e-mail and surf the web. It works great. I was able to access the internet from a moving train when I last traveled between upstate New York and NY City and have used this Prism/cellphone setup from Maine to Florida without problem. If you decide to do this, make sure to add the wireless web option to your Sprint service. Under my plan it costs $5 a month and usage is charged to my plan minutes.
