-- have any visors crashed since the patch installed? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=1530)

Mine had that DRAM problem. I remember it crashing every couple of weeks or so. I wanted to see if this problem is fixed by assessing how everybody's visors were doing. Mine has been running brilliantly without bugs or crashes since I installed the patch.

Ditto-- on about 3 Visors (they're not all mine :-). There's about 6 more in the building; no complaints from those guys, either.

Mine froze once on a Hot Synch, and I had to remove the batteries to bring it out of the coma.

Mine drains the batteries. Any one else have this problem?

No crashes as yet. Have you tried checking to see if you have any third party software that you installed about the same time that may be causing the crash?

I do believe it was third party software that did it, but I'm not totally sure.

What I think is odd is this: I ran Handspring's test to see if I had the problem and it said I DIDN'T. When I installed the patch it said I DID, and installed the patch with the memory fix. Anyone else experience that?

Mine's a cell hog, but it's because I have it on for 30 - 60 minutes at a time reading e-books...

Yessir! I only got 1hr 24min of run time on my last set of batteries and that was without playing a single game and hotsyncing less than usual. I'm thinking of calling for a replacement.

I had one crash since installing the patch, other than that it runs fine. I also notice no differance in battery drain at all.

I haven't crashed once since installing the update, but when I try to change the battry type (shortcut .7 in MemoPad) it seems NiMH is no longer an option. Anyone else notice this?

Ummmmmm, I don't know about you, but it was never an option on my Visor. It seemed more like a limit on PalmOS 3.1 more than something caused by the patch.

Question

You are talking about a shortcut.7 ????
Can you help me and tell me what this is? ANd how I can activate it? Never heard or read about it before.
Thanks for your help.
Chris

Winchell,

NiMH was never an option in the sh.7, as far as I can remember.

No resets so far and noticed no battery problems either.
