-- Need some help w/ Pocket Printer (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=14843)
I just purchased a PocketPrinter A6 from SiPix. Since I'm on a Mac I can't print from the Mac, but, I'm also running into some frustration with only being able to print from mail, memo, address and calendar. I also use other apps such as Doc's to go, eyemodule, etc.
I've seen other software out there (such as PrintBoy). Does anyone know if PrintBoy (or something else) will allow me
to print from other application within my Prism to the Pcket Printer?
thanks for the assist

What kind of serial port on the pocket printer?
Question - what kind of serial port does the pocket printer have? (I guess I'm making the assumption that it does have a serial port.) Does it have a 9-pin D-Sub connector on it? If so, I could tell you if there's a way to interface it to the Visor.
Hi,
The pocket printer comes with a PC type serial port (about 2/3rd inch round (not a PC person so I'm unfamiliar with the pin makeup).
I use IR to communicate with my prism and it works fine, but only on a few built-in applications. I'm looking for a way to use my other apps (such as Docs to go) with the printer.

Serial port
Hm, if it has a D-sub connector on it, that should mean that you could connect to it with an appropriate data cable.
www.pcables.com carries these.
I'm not sure if it would be a PDCH-M9 (modem pinout - most likely) or a PDCH-H9 (hotsync pinout.) But, if the printer manual gives a pinout then it would possible to know for sure.
