I inserted the 8 MB merory module into the VD but without any response since day 1 i received my VISOR. Is there any tuning/configuring that i need to do before normal running ? does anyone has similar problem or this is a QC problem on a bad product that Handspring had made ?

I popped my 8MB module in the minute I got it. The Visor powered on, and added the File Mover app to the launcher automatically.

It is my un-educated opinion that if your Springboard doesn't operate exactly like that, it is defective.

Before you give up on the Flash Module, try doing a reset on the Visor. My Backup Module stopped working after a couple of weeks, and a simple reset solved the problem.

thanks for your advise. however, i have reset my visor several time since then unless you are saying a hard reset instead of soft reset.
my question infact is that which one is defective ? 8 mb flash memory or the visor ? i am not sure which one i should send back to Handspring for replacement ?
