-- How to use Advanced Calculator??? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=11654)

Ok, I admit it. I've had a Visor since Oct '99 and all I've ever used is the basic calculator. (well, maybe a couple of times I converted American measurements to European on a trip). But now I'd really like to learn how to use the advanced modes -- especially the Finance Mode, so I can calculate monthly payments on a new car, or amortization on a mortgage. The slim amount of cryptic information on the CD that Handspring included doesn't really give much guidance. Does anyone know where I can find out how to do these things, or are there any finance/math majors who remember how it was done on their old HPs?

i've kept this link since last november (when i got my visor! ) it's the same calculator that comes preloaded on our visors.

it's really useful, i've downloaded the page for reference when i'm not online.

Thanks, Hoser.

By the way, my description of the instructions on the Handspring CD applied to the CD that came with my VDX over a year ago. After posting that message, by chance I took a look at the manual on the Prism CD. It's much clearer. It explains, step by step, exactly how to calculate a monthly car or mortgage payment.

I'll take a look at the site you mention, though, I'm sure there's lots more about the calculator I can learn.
